Winds sometimes gusting above 50 miles per hour whipped thorugh town, rearranging a lot of Christmas lights and causing some damage Thursday. For the second time within a year, the roof blew off of the visitor's dugout at the HHS baseball field. Concrete blocks were pulled from the structure with the roof draped over the chain link fence. Last spring the roof had to be replaced following a similar wind event. A number of limbs were broken from trees and, in one case, an entire tree was felled. For a shor time West Trudgeon between 11th and 12th streets was blocked by a tree that broke off near the ground.
