Stella Lee Arviett died Dec. 29, 2021 at the age of 90. Funeral services are pending with Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Stella was born Feb. 19, 1931 to Cephus and Ida Mae Walker in Hanna.
She graduated from Clearview High School and attended Nilar Jewel Beauty College, graduating in 1957 with a certificate of cosmetology.
She met and married Roy Avriett. Together they raised Caroletta Avriett. She was also a mother figure to Ida Mae Brunner and Annette Johnson.
Throughout her life she worked in various careers. She was an organizer for the Beauty Culture League, a Sunday School teacher, a maid, a Christian speaker, and a professional cook.
She was preceded in death by her father Cephus Walker, her mother, Ida Mae Walker, her siblings, Creasy Mae Walker, Dennis Walker, Martha King, Howard Walker, and Lorine Carbins.
She leaves behind her daughters Caroletta Avriett of Tulsa and Annette Johnson of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Ashley Gresham, Aaron Gresham, Anthony Gresham, Jordan Gresham all of Tulsa, Gary Redd of Temple, Tex., Debra Redd of Oklahoma City, Yolanda Pretlow of Douglasville, GA, Krystal Milner, Kaliyah Milner, and Cameron Milner all of Arlington, Tex.; along with many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing and Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta.
Funeral servces wil be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022 at Silver Springs Baptist Church at Tiger Mountain with Pastor AJ Tiger officiating. Interment to follow at 1:30PM at Robinson-Renties Community Cemetery on East 1070 Road, Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Flower Bearers will be Lynn Powell, Kiesha Hughes, Alma Holmes, Creasy Cubit and Tosha Belton.
Honorary Flower Bearers will be Shelia Barrett, Alicia Barrett, Cynthia Carbins and LaShea McKnight.
Pallbearers will be Howard “Speedy” Anderson, Aaron Gresham, Gary Redd, Leonard Royston , Quincy Royston, Anthony Gresham and Calvin Walker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Reggie Smith, Dan Washington, Gene Moreland, Oliver Burdine and Tony Collett.
