Margie Alpha McKay was born June 2, 1922, in Henryetta to Robert Price Thompson and Charity Hale Thompson. She attended Henryetta area schools graduating from Henryetta High School after which she started working at Pittsburg Plate Glass in Henryetta. At 14 she was baptized into Christ in the Church of the First Born by Brother Farris Howard.
She married O.J. (Mac) McKay in 1969 and worked for the Henryetta Hospital as administrator from 1957 to 1982.
She is preceded in death by her husband, O.J. (Mac) McKay; daughter, Marjorie Lou Juno; parents Robert Thompson and Charity Thompson Hamilton; grandparents Richard and Molly Thompson and Morgan and Minnie Hale; brother Robert Morgan Thompson; sisters Rheba Withrow and husband Jimmy, Evelyn Westby, Evaughna Bussey and Helen Sharp.
She is survived by her sons: Jack Deskin and wife Janette of Edmond, Barry Deskin and wife Joyce of Tulsa, and son-in-law Jim Juno of Henryetta; grandchildren: Jamie Juno Myers and husband Rick of Henryetta and their sons Ryan Mitchell of Broken Arrow, Wesley Mitchell and wife Abbi and great-great grandson, Rhett of Broken Arrow, Robert Juno and wife Kia of Sanger, TX and their children Emma, Reece, Riley, and Jessica. Stepson Junior McKay and wife Peggy of Brookshire, TX and their daughter LaRay Odum of Brookshire, TX and her children Ethan and Shauna and grandson, David McKay and his daughter, Jordyn and a host of relatives and friends who she loved dearly.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service and Monday, March 14, 2022 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
