Henryetta is cleaner after the two days of the citywide cleanup this week. residents filled up over six roll off dumpsters with a variety of trash and debris.
The project was sponsored by the chamber of commerce with the city providing the rolloffs and help packing down all the trash.
Another two days of cleanup is scheduled net month as the town prepares for the visiitors who will be here for the June Highway to Henryetta festival.
While the town was being cleaned up, nearly 100 volunteers turned out to sweep Nichols Park for trash and garbage.
Sponsored by the Committee to Restore Nichols Park, the event was held in conjunction with Earth Days and prizes going to the organization or club gathering the most trash. This year the Nazarene Church volunteers were the winners.
