The weather was perfect and the crowds loud for the two nights of the Roy Madden Spring Roundup Rodeo Friday and Saturday.
Both evenings started off with youthful would-be rodeo stars trying to tame a flock of sheep for the mutton busting competition.
That performance then turned to the favorites of bronc and bull riding, barrel racing and calf roping.
The next rodeo at Nichols Park will be Labor Day weekend with members of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association battling for overall points and standings in the ranks.
