Carolyn Ruth Bevenue, a resident of Okmulgee, died Oct. 6, 2022 in Okmulgee at the age of 67. She was born July 1, 1955 in Claremore to Merle Bevenue and Virginia (Gray) Bevenue.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Marvin Black Jr.
She was a member of Opportunity Heights Church in Tulsa and also the Thlopthlocco Indian Tribal Town.
She is survived by two daughters, Kahlea Black and Keely Black both of Okmulgee; two granddaughters, Miklahea Black-Cooke of Okmulgee and Kamia Black of Sapulpa; four great grandchildren: Durrantt, Damian, Christian, and Dominic; her partner, Raymond Bevenue of Sapulpa; brother, Danny McKinney of Tulsa; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be from 3 until 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 followed by a wake service in Integrity Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Paul Fixico, Paul Tecumseh, and Grover Wind officiating. Interment will follow in Holdenville Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
