Green Country Technology Center is proud to announce that it recently hosted the SkillsUSA Regional Cosmetology Competition Feb. 13. This exciting event brought together some of the most talented and dedicated cosmetology students from across the region to showcase their skills and compete for the top honors.
The SkillsUSA Cosmetology Competition is designed to provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their mastery of the latest industry techniques and skills. Competitors were tested on a variety of aspects of the cosmetology field, including hair styling, nail care, esthetics, and barbering.
“We were thrilled to host this prestigious competition,” said Roger King, Superintendent of Green Country Technology Center. “This event was a testament to the quality of our cosmetology program and the talented students who participated in it. Our goal is to provide our students with the best education and hands-on experience possible, and this competition is just one example of the many opportunities we offer.”
The SkillsUSA Regional Cosmetology Competition took place on Monday, February 13th, and was held at Green Country Technology Center in Okmulgee.
SkillsUSA is a national organization that serves more than 380,000 high school and college students and instructors in trade, industrial, technical, and health occupations. The organization is dedicated to developing and enhancing the skills and knowledge of its members through competitions, leadership training, and other educational programs.
