Glenda Lea Cox, a resident of Hanna, died April 27, 2023, at her home in Hanna at the age of 60. She was born May 24, 1962, in Oklahoma City.
Glenda is survived by an extensive and loving family, including her two brothers, Arley Edward Horne and his wife Rhonda of McAlester, and Jimmy Horne of McAlester; two sisters, Brenda Holmes and her husband Mike of Shawnee, and Phyllis Ingram and her husband Tim of Okmulgee; three daughters, Valerie Hill of Wetumka, Lindie Purdom of Dustin, and Charity Redman of Owasso; one son, Rocky Cox of Hanna; eight grandchildren, Ethan Lewis, WD Cox, Jessica Cox, Stormy Bain, Mason Bain, Kortney Purdom, Paris Purdom, and Nicolas Redman; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Throughout her life, Glenda spent many years working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for various nursing homes in the area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guftin Cox, Father, Arley Horne, mother Mildred Carl, and by one nephew, Kenneth Horne.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2023 at Carson Cemetery with Rev. Mike Burns, officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Blayne Horne, Rickie Looney, Jeff Hill, Justin McCart, Mike Holmes and Shane Eastin. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Hill and Nate Hill.
