wilson students

Each of the Wilson elementary students in the picture above read over 200 books since classes started last August. Called Beartastic Readers, the students received crocheted bears when classes started and, as they read books and passed tests, they earned accessories for their bears. It was originally started just for the second grade but the popularity of the program wound up seeing it expanded to the third and fourth grades. As a reward, the students had a field trip this week to the Henryetta library to see all the other books that they still have to read.
