Shirley Ann Fry, a resident of Dewar, died May 30, 2023 in Dewar at the age of 77. She was born Sept. 3, 1945, in Henryetta to Hattie Mae (Carrell) and John Clyde Evans.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Monty Evans and Robert Evans; sisters, Clara Thurman and Edna Evans and nephew Lloyd Dale Strawn
Shirley was a graduate of Dewar High School and would marry her sweetheart Eugene. They moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where she worked for Texas Instruments, and later upon moving back to Henryetta as a Quality Control Tech for Ball Brothers Glass Plant in Okmulgee. Shirley retired after 22 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene, of the home; daughter, Stacey, and husband, John, of Coalton; sons, Buck Fry of Dewar and Jason Fry of Henryetta; six grandchildren,: Kevin Settlemyre and wife, Brittney, of Coalton, Kyle Settlemyre of Coalton, Bethany Fry of Oklahoma City, Blake Fry and Gabriel Fry of Dewar, Kasidy Fry of Henryetta;, two great-grandchildren, Kooper and Oaklie Settlemyre of Coalton; brothers, Claude Evans of Wichita, Kansas, and Sonny Evans of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Eloise Poindexter of Salem, Missouri, and Elenore Scott of Alma, Arkansas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers are: John Kyle Settlemyre, Kevin Settlemyre, Buck Fry, Jason Fry, Blake Fry, Gabriel Fry and John Settlemyre.
Interment to follow at Council Hill Cemetery, Council Hill under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
