Charlene Thompson, a longtime Henryetta resident, died Oct. 28, 2023. She was born Feb. 10, 1942 to Thomas and Clara Bell Neal in Tulare California. The Neal family moved from Tulare to Henryetta in 1948. Charlene worked at Burnett’s, then  Maudes Flower Shop until she got married. She was baptized Jan. 31, 1960 into the General  Assembly and Church of the Firstborn by Bro James Carey at the Pippin Pond in Henryetta.
She married the love of her life, Kenneth Thompson, Feb. 20, 1960.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Clara Bell Neal; husband Kenneth Thompson; daughter Kathleen Henderson; grandsons Jason McCracken and Mitchell Dobbs; and siblings: Reva Ricco, Allidain Woodall, Cloene Sweeten, Clifford Neal, and Donnavee Dobbs.
She is survived by her son-in-law Richard of Blanchard; daughter Diane McCracken and husband Glen of Montrose, Colo.; daughter Donnavee Wilkinson of Oklahoma City; son Donnell Dobbs, and wife Pam of Sapulpa; grandchildren: Grace Henderson, Kattie Crow and husband Jack, Charlotte Henderson, Carrie Thomasson and husband Daniel. Raymond McCracken and wife Susan, Vance McCracken and wife Chelsea, Paul McCracken, Matthew McCracken and wife Kerstyn. Sydney, and husband Trey Gray, Nicholas, Mackenzie and Violet Dobbs. Sakari, Maizey, and Kason Wilkinson; great grandchildren: Mikayla and Carley Parks, Rylynn Crow, Abbi and Remington Thomasson, Wyatt and Connor McCracken, Adeline McCracken, Timber McCracken; siblings: Wanda James, Elaine Pierce, Virgil Neal, V’netta Elam.
Family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023 at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jacob Rule, Officaiting. Interment will follow at the Salem Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jack Crow, Daniel Thomasson, Dennis Wittman, Kent Woodall, Jason Williams and Richard Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymmond, Vance and Paul McCraken.
