The plaque on the Doughboy pedestal is complete again. Two medallions bearing the logos of the Navy and Coast Guard were glued in place this week by members of the VFW Post 539.
The medallions were stolen last December and one has been recovered but is being kept in evidence pending the arrest and trial of the individual.
Post commander Bill Goodner and Larry Campbell attached the medallions on the plaque that was officially dedicated in 2016. It bears the names of the servicemen from Henryetta who sacrificed their lives in past wars.
