Tony Bates got his Christmas present early this year. He was the winner of a Mossberg 12 gauge automatic shotgun that was the prize in a drawing at the Henryetta VFW. Bates, a resident of McAlester, said he buys tickets at every VFW post he visits and this one paid off. The post will use the proceds form the drawing to help fund other activities benefitting local veterans.
