Four Henryetta high school students achieved the top honors in the OSSAA State Vocal Solo/Ensemble Contest in Oklahoma City Thursday.
Earning a Superior (highest rank) were soloists Caveryn Foster and Justin Yount and and ensemble of Jasmine Cantrell and Justin Yount.
Excellent (next highest rank) ranking went to soloists Mylei Brinkley, Liberty Easter, Allana Lawrence, Jayson Scott, and Camrynn Watkins.
“I’m very proud of these students,” said choir teacher Karen Willis. “We consistently have choir members qualifying for State Vocal Solo/Ensemble contest. This speaks to the quality of our musicians.”
The next time the students perform will be at the spring choir concert Tuesday, April 30 at the Alice Ghostly auditorium. The high school and middle school choir will be featured.
