Obituary For Zelma D. Green Jan 20 1937 — Jul 17 2026

Zelma Dean Green, a longtime resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, at the age of 89.

Zelma was born on January 20, 1937, to Louis and Ola Gertrude (Shatswell) Griffin. She grew up in the area and attended Checotah High School. On May 7, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jimmie Lee Green, with whom she built a beautiful life and family.

A dedicated worker, Zelma spent 25 years employed at the Fashion Craft sewing factory in Henryetta. Later, she brought her warmth and talents to Lake Drive Nursing Home, where she worked as a cook. Zelma had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. She loved going on vacations, taking the occasional trip to the casino, and keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Zelma was perhaps best known for her incredible home cooking and baking. She showed her deep love for her family through her food, famously making sure each of her children received their favorite homemade pie for their birthday every year.

Zelma was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Louis and Ola Gertrude Griffin; her husband, Jimmie Lee Green; and her sister, Betty Harmon.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion and is survived by her children: Allen Boyster of Henryetta; Vicky Williams and husband Wayne of Mounds; Jimmie Green of Henryetta; Lena Polston of Henryetta; and Bobby Green and wife Danyiel of Henryetta.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shaun Green of Henryetta; Kim Bush of Henryetta; Lloyd Ingram of Arkansas; Cheryl Green and spouse of Arkansas; Randall Williams of Tulsa; Taylor Green and Loren of Okemah; and Mayson Mathieu and Nolen of Weleetka.

She is further survived by her special niece, Janice Kay Glass of Warner, along with 15 adored great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at the Integrity Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Shaun Green, Taylor Green, Randall Williams, Trenton Williams, Shaun Smock-Green, Tyler Weaver, and Nolan Mathieu.
