Reverend Spencer Keith King, former pastor at the Henryetta First Christian Church, passed away on June 8, 2026.

Reverend Spencer Keith King, 70, of the Forest Grove community in Oregon, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland.
A private cremation service was held at Hoyt Crematory in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Spencer was born on April 13, 1956, in Halstead, Kansas, to Floyd and Mabel Nadine (Spencer) King. Shortly after his birth, his father was transferred to Odessa, Texas, where the family lived until Spencer was 11 years old. They later moved to Pampa, Texas.
After graduating from high school, Spencer attended Texas Tech University. During his senior year, his father passed away, and his mother moved back to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following his graduation from Texas Tech, Spencer moved to Tulsa and continued his education at Oklahoma State University.
In his mid-twenties, Spencer realized there was more to life and began attending First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Tulsa. There he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and received his call into the ministry. He enrolled at Phillips Theological Seminary and earned his Master of Divinity degree Cum Laude on May 13, 1995.
Spencer was ordained into the Christian ministry on June 18, 1995. He then became Senior Pastor of First Christian Church in Henryetta, Oklahoma, where he served faithfully until February 2001. He then accepted the call to serve as Senior Pastor of First Christian Church in Forest Grove, Oregon, where he ministered for the next 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Mabel Spencer; his parents, Floyd and Mabel Nadine (Spencer) King; his brother, Floyd Layne King; and his sister, Karla (King) Harris.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Rhea and Mike Sulzycki of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his brother-in-law, Dale Harris of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his aunt, Joyce Stabler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
