There will be lots of scary creatures and cute denizens of the night running around Henryetta this weekend.
Friday afternoon downtown Henryetta is going to be crowded with youngsters picking up candy and goodies from businesses.downtown
That will run from 3 to 5 p.m.
"This annual event is growing in popularity every year," said Henryetta chamber of commerce executive director Roy Madden.
"It's a great way to introduce people to the various businesses and shopping opportunities in Henryetta."
Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, Oct. 28, the First Baptist Church will be holding a "Trunk or Treat."
That will be in the church parking lot at Fifth and Trudgeon from 5 to 7 p.m. In addition to the candy outside, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall including free hot dogs for the adults.
On Saturday, Oct. 31, the Nazarene Church parking lot will be filled with decorated cars for another Trunk and Treat. It starts at 5 p.m.
Saturday night the children in their costumes will be hitting the neighborhoods looking for treats. That same night, the frights will also be at Nichols Park.
haunted hayrideA special Haunted Hayride will be held from 7 to 11 p.m.
It starts at the rodeo arena and the trail will take the riders through some terrifying scenarios at a $1 per person admission price.
A concession stand will be available.
