"The winning merchant will receive a 2016 Chamber membership and a plaque recognizing their accomplishment," said chamber of commerce executive director Roy Madden. "With the new LED lighting capability and animations merchants can be very creative with their decorative ideas for this most joyous holiday."
He said merchants wanting to participate in decorating contest will need to simply register with the Chamber by completing a short registration form provided by the Chamber. "This can be accomplished via email or hard copy."
The voting will be a “people’s choice” format and will be conducted from Nov. 27 through Dec. 21. All participating merchants will be provided voting ballots and the public can drop their votes off at the Chamber’s drop box located just outside the office at 415 West Main Street.
All nominations must be received by the Chamber no later than the close of business on December 21, 2015 and the winner will be announced in the news media and the Chamber’s social media site.
"We are urging everyone, businesses and individuals, to 'Get In The Game,' and see how we can make a difference," he said.
