Wanda Lavon Wailes Ferrero died Oct. 24, 2015 at the age of 92.
She was born July 15, 1923 to William and Opel Wailes and graduated from Henryetta High School. She was a telephone operator, part time deputy Court Clerk, and homemaker. She was a Sunday School teacher and active member of the Assembly of God Church.
Wanda was married 65 years to Ernest Ferrero who managed the Safeway Store in Henryetta.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Wailes and Opel Wailes Moss, and her husband Ernest Ferrero in 2007.
Wanda is survived by two daughters: Judy Thomas and husband Danny of Henryetta; Linda Spurlock and husband Danne of Henryetta; two grandchildren: Shelley Williams and husband Brent of Morris; Chad Spurlock and wife Andrea of Okmulgee; three great-grandchildren: Keeley and Kameron Hurd and Braxton Spurlock; as well as nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Diane Twist, officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
