Human bones found north of Beggs have been identified as those of Steven Dwain Shelton, Tulsa. He was last seen by deputies in October 2014 walking in the same area near where his remains were found. Hunters discovered the grisly remains Oct. 25 of this year near US 75 and 271st Street.
The remains were linked to the 49-year-old Shelton by the Medical Examiner after dental comparisons. Foul play is not suspected in the death.
