The next two days will see veterans throughout the area being honored.
This morning the Dewar United Pentecostal Church and Dewar elementary students will be recognizing veterans with a special program starting at 9 a.m.
At noon today, a luncheon will be served to veterans at Wilson school starting at 12:15. It will be followed by an assembly in the gym at 12:45 p.m.
Henryetta high school students will be presenting a special Veterans Day program at 9 Wednesday morning. It will be held at the new gymnasium with the HHS band and high school choirs performing.
At 10 a.m. the Schulter school will honor veterans from the area. A lunch will be served following the program.
Henryetta native Amos Starr is going to be the guest of honor at noon Wednesday.
The 26-year Army veteran will be presented the Bronze star from Congressman Markwayne Mullin.
That will take place at the OSUIT student union at noon.
