Henryetta students are going to benefit from nearly $8,000 in grant money to help with classroom education and projects.
This week members of the Henryetta Education Foundation passed out $7,600 in grant money to nine teachers in the elementary and middle schools.
Receiving grants and their projects were: Denae Green, Rockets Over HES; Cheryl Boatner, Just Keep Swimming; Stacy Bullard and Tina Berry, Get those Wheels Turning; Christie Wells, Duck Tape Done Right; Donna McFerran, Good Readers Make Great Leaders; Ashley Burton, Amazing Science; Ashley Corn, Readers Are Leaders and Alecia Eastridge, But First Let Me Fill My Shelfie.
The funds come from donations to the Education Foundation from alumni and former classes.
