Jim Beymer and Melissa Heminover will be sworn in as the newest members of the Henryetta Economic Development Authority (HEDA).
They were officially accepted to the posts at the Tuesday night city council meeting by a unanimous vote.
Beymer will be filling the position vacated by Mike Meeks after his resignation earlier this year. That term expires July 1, 2019. Heminover will be filling the spot vacated after the resignation of long-time member Gary Clason. Her term expires July 1, 2010.
nov councilFollowing a nearly two-hour long executive session, council members approved bargaining agreements with both the Henryetta FOP and local Firefighters Association.
The executive session also dealt with discussion over pending litigation that including a lawsuit over engineering and construction at the water plant and the North Canadian intake station.
Acting as the Henryetta municipal authority, the council also started the work process for the million-gallon water storage tank east of town. That old metal structure has been idled for nearly two years after an inspection discovered structural problems.
Myers Engineering will be the consulting firm for that project as well as handling the sludge created at the water treatment plant.
