After a weekend of thunderstorms and rain, winter came to Henryetta and the area Monday morning.
A wet, slushy snow fell on top of a brief sleet-covered ground making travel treacherous. This driver tried to decend on Third Street shortly after the snow began falling and lost control sliding into a ditch.
City crews closed off both Third and Fifth street hills temporarily Monday but, by noon, the streets were passible again.
