Margaret Janet Fowler, a longtime resident of the Okmulgee area, died Dec. 31, 2015. She was born on July 30, 1923, in Dewar to Wilburn Roby and Cealie Johanna (Shoun) Ingle. She was one of six children and graduated from Dewar High School.
In 1942, she married the love of her life, James Arlie Fowler. She was an auditor with the US Selective Service System. After her government retirement in 1976, she continued her ambitious endeavors as a realtor.
Margaret was a proud member of the Order of Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband James Fowler, a brother Leon Ingle, sisters Pauline Rogez and Norma Streight, and two infant brothers Gilmer and Robert Ingle. She is survived by her daughter Judith Cline and her husband Mike, daughter Linda Coon and her husband John. Also, survived by her grandchildren Angela Coon, David Coon and his wife Jennifer, Allison Loehr, and Erica Loehr, great- grandchildren Abigail Coon, Eleanor Coon, John Lucas Jameson Coon, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family, and many dear friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, January 4, 2015, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Mike Cline, John Coon, David Coon, Charles Rogez, Ricky Streight, and Robert Streight. Friends may honor Margaret’s memory with contributions to their favorite charity.
