Charles Wayne "Charley" Condren, Jr., a longtime Schulter area resident, died Jan. 7, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 86. Charley was born Dec. 22, 1929 in Henryetta to Charles W. Condren, Sr. and Elda Pauline Robinson Condren.
He grew up in Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1948. During his high school years Charley was very involved as a rodeo trick rider. Following high school, Charley went to work in area smelters, where he remained employed for several years. Charley spent approximately two years serving in the U.S. Army before his honorable discharge. Following military service, Charley returned to the Henryetta area and worked briefly in the smelters before becoming employed with Pittsburgh Plate Glass company as a glass worker.
Charley is preceded in death by his mother and father.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Condren of the home; three sons: Travis Condren of Okmulgee, Curt Condren and wife Aretha of Schulter, and Clint Condren and Denise of Tulsa; ten grandchildren: Brittany Condren, Cole Condren, Bridgett Crockett, Katy Condren, Magen Condren, Morgan Condren, Tiffany Vinyard, Cort Condren, Jessie Condren, and Jill Condren; ten great grandchildren; three sisters: Lorene Kraftt of Hattiesburg, Miss., Pauline Radebaugh of Claremore, and Betty June Garner of Ventura, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 12 to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service. Additional viewing will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 from 8 a.m. until noon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Dennis Bible officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Larry Longin, Eddie Wilhite, Stanley Cowan, Willie Crooch, Josh Nichols, and Paul Giaudrone.
