Jonas Earl "Chebon" Robinson, a resident of Glenpool, died Jan. 28, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 44. Chebon was born Aug. 6, 1971 in Tahlequah to his mother Hazel Robinson. Chebon grew up as a young boy in Tahlequah and later lived in Muskogee and Tulsa as a young man, before moving to Glenpool approximately 12 years ago.
Chebon was a special young man that loved attending church at Solid Rock Church in Glenpool where he is a longtime member.
Chebon is preceded in death by his grandmother, Fannie Barnett; his mother, Hazel Robinson; and a sister, Alice Godfrey.
He is survived by his sister, Valerie Candelario and husband Vincent of Glenpool; a brother, Harvey Clayton, Jr. of Seminole; grandfather, Smiley Barnett of Dewar; niece, Jolie Williamson of Glenpool, four nephews, Jared Barnett of Glenpool, Jesse Barnett of Glenpool, Christopher Corbell of Porum and Randall Corbell of Porum; great nephew, Smiley James Williamson of Glenpool; and by numerous other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta Feb. 1, 2016 from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
A wake service for Chebon will be held Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church from 7 until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Hutchechuppa Indian Baptist Church with Todd Parker and Eugene Harjo officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Lewis Family Cemetery in Vernon, Oklahoma under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
