Norma June "Grannie" Armstrong, a resident of Okmulgee, died April 17, 2016 in Okmulgee at the age of 91. She was born June 22, 1924 in Hanna to John Benjamin Harris and Lillie Mae (Horn) Harris.
She was a past member of the Eastern Star.
She worked for various flower shops in Okmulgee for many years until her daughter Angie opened Floral Sense in Henryetta in 1994, where they worked together until they both retired in 2010.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde Armstrong, daughter Norma Penny Vaughn, and her son-in-law, Gary Stephens.
Grannie is survived by her daughter, Angie Stephens of Okmulgee; four grandchildren: Ty Davis and wife Mary of Okmulgee, David Davis and wife Lynne of Okmulgee, Stacy Hare and husband Freddie of Slaton, Texas, and Jonathan Pinowka of Slaton, Texas; great grandchildren: Tyson Davis of Okmulgee,
Kyle Hare and wife Jessica of Slaton, Katy Pinowka, Jacob Pinowka, Andy Pinowka, and Sarah Pinowka; great grandchildren: Gavin Ellingsworth, Scarlette Ellingsworth, and one on the way, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, April 22 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
