The annual Henryetta Relay for Life will be held Saturday at the football field. A number of teams have banded together to raise money to fight cancer with ten hours of games, food and activities planned. The weekend event kicked off Thursday morning when Henryetta mayor Jennifer Clason signed the proclamation deisgnating April 23 as Henryetta Relay day. |
That same evening, the annual Survivor's dinner held at the First United Methodist church. That dinner recognizes those who have battled back through cancer treatments and are now free of the disease. This year a near-record number of survivors turned out along with their family and caregivers. They will be honored Saturday during a special Survivors' Lap at Relay. |
