This Friday is the last day for Okmulgee County residents to register in order to vote June 28.
Ashley Carnes, election board secretary, said anyone wishing to register or change their registration can come to her office at the court house. "They may also apply by filing out and mailing an Oklahoma Voter Registration Application form in time for it to be postmarked no later than midnight Friday, June 3."
No changes of political affiliation will be allowed until Aug. 31 in even-numbered years.
Any applications postmarked after the June 3 deadline will be accepted and processed after the June 28 primary election.
The primary election will include candidates for United States Senator, United States Representative District 2, State Representative District 16, and County Court Clerk. There is also a Special Election for Beggs Public School, Liberty Public School, and Graham-Dustin Public School.
Oklahoma Voter Registration Application forms are available at the County Election Board office located at 314 W. 7th St, Room 102, Okmulgee County Courthouse, and at most post offices, tag agencies and public libraries in the county. Applications also are available at www.elections.ok.gov.
