Charly Frazier-Criner won the Okmulgee County court clerk's office Tuesday night with 1,438 votes compared to 1,134 cast for Liz Frost. Since Criner did not draw a republican opponent, she will be sworn in as the new court clerk replacing Linda Beavers who is retiring.
In the State Representative District 16 race, democrat Ronnie Kell jumped out to an early lead and held onto it to win a spot in the runoff against Anna Dearmore. Kell received 962 votes throughout the district with Dearmore picking up 699. The third candidate, Brenda Golden, received 568 votes.
On the republican side for District 16, Scott Fetgatter was the winner with 1,026 votes, well ahead of Charles Kanada who received 475 and James Bo Delso with 166. Because he received more than 50 percent of the votes, Fetgatter will not be facing an August runoff election.
