Two Henryetta men were injured in a single-vehicle crash east of Dewar early Sunday morning.
Dalton McCarroll, 23, and Ross T. Britt, 24, were passengers in a pickup driven by Brandyn T. Wahnee, Morris, about two miles east of dewar on US 266.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Wahnee said he went to sleep while driving and his pickup went off the roadway to the right. He apparently overcorrected and swerved across the highway into the ditch on the north side of the road. The pickup rolled over one and a half times coming to rest on its top in a ditch.
Britt was thrown from the vehicle and pinned under it for about 35 minutes before Dewar and Henryetta fire department personnel could free him.
He was said to have sustained leg injuries. Britt was treated first at the Hillcrest Henryetta hospital then flown to St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa. He was said to be in stable condition. McCarroll was taken to Hillcrest Henryetta hospital where he was treated and released with head injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
