The pavillon at the Dr. Carlton Smith Tennis Courts is getting covered. Workers were busy Tuesday installing the tongue and groove wooden roof on the metal frame. Funding for the pavilion was primarily accomplished by private donations from a number of tennis alumni who also helped give the tennis courts an entirely new look. The entire project has been responsible for the Henryetta Tennis Association being named 2016 State of Oklahoma Outstanding Community Tennis Association. The 48 by 24 foot pavillion will be used for tennis players to relax while waiting for their next match as well as spectators watching the action.
