| Members of the Muscogee Creek Nation National Council is calling for Principal Chief George Tiger to resign. That decision was reached after a Tuesday emergency meeting of the council. It follows on the heels of a story in the Tulsa World alleging Tiger signed a lucrative consulting contract with a casino developer. The report indicated the developer promised Tiger would receive a share of the gaming revenue even though it would compete with the tribe's casino in Tulsa. It is claimed Tiger worked with the developer, Shane Rolls and Kialegee Tribal Town to open the casino in Broken Arrow. Tiger is saying his actions were legal and not a conflict of interest since that happened before he took office in January, 2010. The National Council also approved a resolution stating they have no confidence in the chief. |  |
