The first steps toward a multi-million-dollar expansion of the Hillcrest Henryetta Medical Center are underway.
Bids are being sought for the project that will give a new look to the current hospital footprint. When completed the emergency room will be expanded as well as adding a new entrance to the hospital, relocate the lab area and remodel the radiology area.
Some of that work will include removing the current extra entrance to the emergency room.
Some $3 million is the projected cost of all the work. Bids are due Dec. 19 and the project is hoped to be completed in about 12 months. A pre-bid walk through is going to be held Dec. 5.
