Henryetta school administrators joined with others in Okmulgee Tuesday to come up with plans to deal with active shooters in the classrooms.
The meeting was held with Okmulgee County sheriff's deputies and other law enforcement personnel. During the day, they discussed training scenarios involving local officers in the buildings. That would allow law enforcement to become familiar with the school layouts and improve their response techniques.
Several years ago, Henryetta officers spent two days at the high school conducting similar training exercises.
