"We had an amazing day Saturday." That was the comment from Henryetta Relay For Life coordinator Michelle Brown. This year Relay began at noon with a balloon launch that filled the sky with a multitude of colors. Each color represented the various birthday months throughout the year and stood for the birthdays that have been saved through cancer research and lost because of the disease. A number of games and special events kept Relay participants busy throughout the day ranging from special laps with sonsors to those wearing crazy wigs. A car show was held with participants showing off their automotive building skills using cardboard boxes. The highlight of Relay was the luminaria ceremony with lighted bags lining the football field. Each was purchased in memory of aperson who lost the battle with cancer or was a survivor.
