A Henryetta mother is asking for help for her five-month-old son to correct a medical issue.
The child, Kactus, has been diagnosed with a severe congenital Plagiocephaly which is an abnormal shaped head. Sometimes known as “flat head syndrome, it affects nearly one in two infants with one out of every ten babies needing treatment with a helmet to reshape the head.

Kactus has been diagnosed with a severe case requiring the helmet. The cost will cover fitting the helmet as well as all follow-up medical appointments.
She has set up an account at First Family Federal Credit Union and already has had some donations. “There is still $1,975 left,” she said. “I really appreciate all those who have donated so far.”
The condition develops when a baby often sleeps on his or her back creating a flat area. Doctors recommend parents reposition the baby’s head when they are sleeping on their backs.
Left untreated Plagiocephaly can result in heightened risk of developmental delays.
“Anyone wishing to help can donate to the First Family Account in my name, Emerald Napier, ending in 88,” she said. “I have also set up a paypal account: https://www.paypal.me/emeraldnapier.shirt back
She has also had t-shirts designed to help in the fund raising effort. Those shirts can be ordered through her Facebook page, Emmie Dawn, and are $25 each.
