Herbert Lue (Lue Lue and Coo Coo) Burney, son of Pierce and Beulah Burney, the last of 14 children, born Nov. 22, 1949 in Henryetta. He died March 26, 2022 in Tulsa.
Lue is preceded in death by his parents, Pierce and Beulah Burney, 10 brothers: Mack, Jimmy, C.W., Allen, Mervin, Cecil, Billy, Jack, Dude, Pete and infant brother Otis; sisters, Joanne Sessions and Norma Lee Gadbois; his first wife Sandy Hatfield Burney and a daughter Telitha Jane (TJ) Burney.
Lue married Sandra Hatfield on July 29,1972 and was married for 35 years. Out of this union they had two children, Telitha Jane Burney and Vincent Burney.
Lue leaves behind his second wife Becky L. W. Burney, of the home. They were married October 20, 2012 and out of this union had no children. His son Vincent burney and wife Jamie of Choctaw; sister Ethel Owen of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren: Tyson Turner, Del City, Cole Burney and Scarlet Burney, Choctaw; nephew Bo Burney and wife Becky Lightner Burney of Hoffman]; Great nephew Aaron Burney and wife Skylar Burney and children, Greyson Burney and Zailey Lou Burney (his name sake) of Hoffman; great niece, Ashley Burney of Glenpool; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends which he loved dearly.
Lue worked for Oklahoma Tile Company laying tile, marble and granite for 25 years and then at Tinker Air Force Base in expediting for 10 years.
Viewing is scheduled for Wednesday, March, 30, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon in Henryetta.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Hoffman Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Skylar Burney, Cindy Logsdon, Sharon Burney, Ashley Burney, Tosha Hill, Chrissy Cook, Debbie Burney, Cheree Barnes, Jim Patchen, Brooke Burney, Brea Burney, Tyson Turner, Al Davis, Aaron Burney and April Upshaw.
Honorary pallbearers will be Becky Lightner Burney, Annett Deshaso, Peggy Madden, Charolott Lynn Lowery, Donna Sessions, Lesa Sims, Kathy Patchen and Debbie Burney.
