The Henryetta Dirtbags enjoyed a brief lead Friday afternoon but wound up on the wrong end of a 13-8 score with Roland.
Henryetta moved form a 4-1 deficit to a 6-4 lead in the third inning but Roland would charge back with five runs in the fourth, three in the sixth and one more in the final inning for the win. The Dirtbags could only get two runs on board thanks to a double by Phillip Rice before the final out.
Rice put the HHS nine on the scoreboard in the second inning when he stole home with two outs.
The big inning for Henryetta was the third.
Runs started piling up with Connor Bullard getting a single that scored Skylar Greenhaw. A single by Rice brought Ethan Palmer home. The bases loaded up and two consecutive four-ball throws by Roland would give Henryetta a 5-2 advantage. That moved ahead by one when Rice scored on a wild pitch.
A line drive double and two passed balls provided Roland with runs in the sixth although Henryetta would battle back picking up two runs on a double by Rice.
The Henryetta batters would get six hits in the game. Rice went three for four at the plate.
