Veterans ranging from the Civil War through Vietnam are buried at Westlawn Cemetery as well as other cemeteries throughout the area.
They received their honors with American flags placed by their grave markers through the help of over 50 volunteers Saturday morning.
The volunteers, ranging from scouts to football players, motorcycle clubs to private individuals, walked by every grave and, when a veteran's marker is found, a flag is placed next to it.
The flags, over 2,000, are supplied by the Henryetta VFW Post 539 and American Legion. They will stay in place throughout Memorial Day weekend.
Special Memorial Day services honoring those veterans will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m.
