Nora Levena Donathan, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died July 15, 2022 in Henryetta at the age of 95. She was born Aug. 2, 1926 in Henryetta to George Perkins and Edna (Gamble) Perkins.
She married Ike Donathan, Jr. in 1959 and remained together until his death. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Henryetta. She graduated from Henryetta High School class of 1944. She worked as a telephone operator in Henryetta from 1944 until 1947. She went to work for Southwestern Bell also as an operator from 1952 until 1959. She worked as a secretary at PPG in Henryetta from 1968 until 1974 at the plants closing. She later worked as Henryetta High School principal's secretary in the later 70 and 80's. She graduated from North Eastern State College in Library Science and worked as Librarian at Henryetta High School until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Perkins, her husband, Ike Donathan, Jr., a son, Gary Donathan and his wife Trish Donathan.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Bobby" Brookey of Henryetta; daughter, Melissa Brookey of Henryetta; two grandchildren, Dr. Daryn Donathan and wife Donna of Houston, Texas and Rhiannon Garcia and husband Robert of Houston, Texas; five great grandchildren: Mikayla and Kinley Garcia, Avery, Andrew and Adelynn Donathan. Also by a host of friends and church family.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service and from 8 a.m. until noon on Tuesday.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Shahan officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
