Dorcas Dwan Tiger, a resident of Tiger Mountain, died July 21, 2022 at her home at the age of 90. She was born Jan. 29, 1932 in Richardsville, Okla., to Connie Lowe and Linnie (Richards) Lowe.
She was a lifetime member of Silver Spring Baptist Church. She worked in many capacities within Dewar School System, however, her last job was as In School Detention Director at Dewar Public Schools.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jackson Tiger; five brothers: Jerry Lowe, R. H. McIntosh, Sam Lowe, Joe Lowe and Tommy Lowe; two sisters, Ida Hughes and Abby Davis.
She is survived by four children: A. J. Tiger and wife Carol of Tiger Mountain, Wilma Tiger of Okmulgee, Tony Tiger and wife Vicky of Tiger Mountain, Eric Tiger and wife Lisa of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren: Brett Tiger and wife Lori of Tiger Mountain, Tracie Britt and husband Carl of Dewar, Zachary Tiger and wife Katurah of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Brittony Tiger of Branson, Missouri, Tiffany Tiger of Albuquerque, New Mexico;
Tyler Tiger and wife Alana, Erica Tiger of California and Sophia Mineses and husband Isaac of Albuquerque, New Mexico; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
At Dorcas' request, her viewing will from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Integrity Chapel.
Pallbearers will b, A. J. Tiger, Tony Tiger, Eric Tiger, Brett Tiger, Zachary Tiger, Tyler Tiger, and Tad Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Brett Tiger, Jr., Brandon Tiger, Ross Tiger Britt, Cole Britt, Dylan Pippin and the Men of Silver Spring Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Silver Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hawkins and Rev. Dennis Bible officiating. Interment will follow in Silver Spring Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
