Marvin Ray White, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died Nov. 4, 2022, at the age of 85. He was born in Wetumka Feb. 1, 1937, to Starling Washington and Ethel Joyce (Duncan) White.
He was preceded in death by his parents Starling and Ethel White, two brothers Carroll Eugene and Ulys Wayne White, and great grandson Joseph Kane Matthews.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; son Terry White and wife Donna of Henryetta; son Lee White of Bentonville, AK; daughter Dana Rae Goodnight and husband Howard of Weleetka; son Raymond McDaniel of Okmulgee. two sisters: Laudra Anthony and husband Kenneth of Spring, TX, and Linda Brooks of Wetumka; seven grandchildren: Andy Goodnight and wife Jamie of Morris, Tamara Cashman and husband Shane of Henryetta, Raelynn Goodnight of Weleetka, Ryan White and wife Alisha of Henryetta, Tyler White of Bentonville, AK; Mason Martin of Weleetka, Dylan Rayburn of Henryetta, and Jeremiah McDaniel of Okmulgee; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews
Marvin spent some 25 years working in vending operations retiring from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Tulsa as Manager of Vending Operations in 1980. He then focused his full attention on his personal business operations at the Sundowner Club purchased in 1972 and expanded to include a well-known steakhouse and rodeo arena. Over the years Marvin operated the New West Club, Trail Club, a Steakhouse and Restaurant, but his favorite hangout was the well known “Marvin’s Place”
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 At Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 At the Integrity Funeral Service Chapel.
