| A Henryetta family says they were delighted and angered in two visits to Nichols Park this past weekend. The husband and wife spent a part of Saturday on a drive through the park watching people swimming, lying around on the beach and enjoying the facilities. That feeling of elation was turned to anger Sunday on a return trip. |

| Scattered in the covered picnic area at the old bathhouse were plastic bags of garbage, remnants of a birthday party and even dirty diapers thrown on the floor. Only a few feet away was a trash can that still had plenty of room to hold the detritus so wantonly left lying around. Photos of the trash were taken and sent to city officials with the result that an already short staff had to be pulled away from other duties to clean up the mess. |
