The second session for the Henryetta public library summer reading program was held Monday afternoon.
Assistant librarian Kathy Crosby talked with the children about how by helping others, they can change the world. “It is important to help others and spread kindness, especially in this day and time,” she said.
The book, “Ordinary Mary’s Extraordinary Deed,” was read and Crosby encouraged them to read other books about how other people have helped others.
Following the story time, the program participants made kindness bracelets, with one to keep for themselves and the other to give away to family or friends.
