A crash on US 75 near the I-40 junction sent two people, including a Henryetta police officer to the hospital shortly after noon Monday.
The accident occurred when a late model Mercedes SUV was going southbound on US 75 and struck the rear of a Ford Fusion in the lane in front of it.
That impact sent the Ford into the front of a Henryetta police vehicle that was sitting in the center median on a traffic assignment. The Mercedes was said to have spun around and struck the rear of the police unit.
The driver of the Ford and HPD officer Matt Duke were taken to the Hilllcrest Henryetta hospital for treatment of injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
