With the Jim Shoulders Living Legends rodeo only a couple of weeks away, workers are hurrying to enlarge the announcer's stand overlooking the arena. The original building (at left) has been part of the rodeo for most of its past 29 years and, with technology advancing, has become much too small. This is the latest in some improvements made at the arena in recent years. The rodeo at Nichols Park will be held Sept. 2 and 3 with mutton bustin' starting off both evenings action.
