Henryetta city council member Bill Goodner has resubmitted his resignation this week.
goodner explainsIn an email to Thehenryettan.com, Goodner said he will be stepping down after the Sept. 15 meeting.
"I knew that Henry's (Koelzer) employment obligations were going to require that he resign, so I stayed on until his replacement could be found<" he said in his email.
Goodner originally resigned in June citing health and family issues,. He was elected to the councilman at large seat two years ago and served as mayor until this past April.
"We have a very good group on the council and an excellent staff of city employees," he said. "Things are going in the right direction and I see nothing but better days ahead."
Goodner did not say who was going to be nominated to fill Koelzer's position.
