Henryetta's golf course is going to get some statewide publicity. Ken MacLeod, the publisher of Golf Oklahoma magazine, came to town to review the recently updated facility. MacLeod spent several hours getting a tour and getting photos of the course. He visited with several members including Gayle Machetta and Donnie Smith (above) learning about the installation of the champion bermuda grass greens. The monthly magazine reaches some 33,000 golfers, an audience the Henryetta club hopes to entice. "A number of visitors have been to the course this year and say they are impressed with the layout and especially the new greens," said Machetta. "We think this will open the eyes of a lot of new visitors in the coming months." No date was given when the Henryetta golf course story would be published.
